Thomas J. Mooney is Of Counsel to the firm's General Civil and Commercial Litigation Group. An accomplished litigator with over three decades of experience in insurance defense, Thomas handles the defense of civil matters in state and federal courts, including general liability, premises liability, professional liability, automobile liability, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
Prior to joining Hoagland Longo, Thomas gained significant trial experience in the areas of general liability defense and related insurance coverage issues as well as personal injury litigation while managing his own law practice and as attorney in multiple law firms across New Jersey. In addition, he counseled various insurance groups in lawsuits from inception to trial throughout the State.
Thomas earned his law degree at Seton Hall University School of Law in 1986 and graduated from Villanova University with a B.A. degree in 1983. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
