Aron Mandel is an associate in the firm’s employment and municipal litigation departments. Aron represents employers and municipalities, as well as individual Officers, elected officials and other members of management in State and Federal Courts. His work often includes litigating suits involving Section 1983 Constitutional Claims, Title VII claims, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the Conscientious Employee Protection Act and the Americans with Disability Act. Aron also successfully defends claims made against public entities and employees for alleged Constitutional violations, including excessive use of force, false arrest, malicious prosecution and failure to provide medical attention.
Prior to joining the firm, Aron completed a clerkship in Union County Superior Court, Chancery Division, working first under Hon. Frederic S. Kessler, P.J.Ch. until his retirement and then under Hon. Katherine Dupuis, P.J.Ch. Aron graduated from Rutgers School of Law – Camden in 2013, cum laude. While attending law school Aron interned for the Attorney General’s Office, the Hon. Freda Wolfson, U.S.D.J., The Hon. John Malone, P.J.Ch. and worked for Hinkle, Fingles & Prior, P.C. practicing estate and special needs litigation and planning.
Aron is a member of the Metuchen Traffic and Transportation Committee. Aron is also a member of the New York, Middlesex County and New Brunswick Bar Associations.
