Associate - New Brunswick
Oliver Encarnacion joined the firm in 2018 as an Associate in the Environmental & Toxic Tort Department, focusing his practice on Asbestos Litigation, traditional environmental matters, and products liability. Oliver received his undergraduate education from The College of New Jersey. He attended Seton Hall University School of Law, where he obtained his J.D.
Oliver served as the Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Ana C. Viscomi, J.S.C. in the Mass Torts, Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex County, for the 2017-2018 Term. Oliver has been certified by the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts as a Civil Mediator and has mediated numerous special civil/small claims and landlord/tenant cases. Prior to his clerkship, Oliver gained experience with complex trial preparation for construction defect cases at Becker & Poliakoff, where he worked in the firm’s construction law & complex litigation practice group. He is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and the United District Court for the District of New Jersey.
While attending Seton Hall University School of Law, Oliver interned for Chief Justice Stuart Rabner in the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). As a law student, Oliver was also a member of the Legislative Journal and a Student Attorney for the Equal Justice Clinic at the Center for Social Justice, through which he visited the Passaic County Jail in numerous occasions to interview inmates about health conditions and safety concerns.
