Jason S. Riemer

Jason S. Riemer is an experienced litigator who is the managing attorney in our New York City office. His practice encompasses a wide variety of civil litigation matters that include asbestos and toxic tort defense, products liability, professional liability, construction accident, motor vehicle, premises and elevator accident cases. He has taken many of these cases to verdict in Federal District Court and in the Supreme Court of the State of New York in New York City, the suburban counties and in Upstate New York.
Jason began his legal career with AIG’s New York staff counsel office where he worked for 18 years, first as a trial attorney and later as a managing attorney. While AIG, the clients he represented included the Trump Organization, Helmsley Spear, HRH Construction, Long Island Railroad, the New York Yankees, Domino’s Pizza and several New York City elevator maintenance companies. He litigated and assisted in the successful appeal of Finguerra v. Conn, a case involving allegations that injuries suffered in a diving accident were caused by defective swimming pool design. Thereafter, Jason was in private practice working primarily as counsel to Chubb Insurance Company and their insureds. Most recently, before joining the firm, Jason was trial counsel at a firm in New York City focusing on asbestos litigation.
Jason has taught a course in trial advocacy at Hofstra Law School and as acted as a judge in Hofstra’s moot court program. He has lectured at Continuing Legal Education seminars in the areas of trial strategy, defending elevator accident cases, medical/legal issues and ethics.
As a member of Trial Lawyers Care, Jason had the honor of representing the families of 9/11 victims on a pro bono basis before the September 11 Victims Compensation Board.
On winter weekends you can find Jason teaching at Bromley Mountain, Vermont where he is a PSIA certified ski instructor.
