Hispanic Bar Association of NJ Appoints Janett P. Smyth as Press Secretary
The Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBA-NJ) has appointed Janett P. Smyth as a member of its 2023-2024 Board of Officers and Trustees, in the position of Press Secretary. The new Board of Officers and Trustees was sworn in on November 1, 2023 during the organization’s 44th Annual Installation and Swearing-In Ceremony at Crystal Plaza in Livingston, New Jersey. The sold-out ceremony had over 350 guests in attendance, including judges, lawyers, and law students from numerous counties throughout the State.
The HBA-NJ is a very active bar organization that represents the interests of attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students statewide. The goal of the HBA-NJ is to foster a more diverse legal landscape and to address the many issues that affect the Hispanic community in New Jersey. Janett has been a member since 2022.
As Of Counsel in the Civil Litigation and Commercial Litigation practice group at Hoagland Longo, Janett handles general and professional liability matters, complex commercial litigation, and the defense of negligence and personal injury claims.
