Thomas B. Leyhane and Sharon Flynn prevailed in 7 week medical malpractice trial.
Thomas B. Leyhane prevailed in a medical malpractice case in which plaintiff, a 50 year old carpenter, alleged that the negligence of our client and three other doctors caused the need for 20 surgeries and, ultimately, a left below the knee amputation. Economic losses were claimed at about $3 million with pain and suffering damages as well. After seven weeks of trial, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of our client as well as the co-defendant doctors. Senior Associate Sharon Flynn handled much of the pre-trial discovery and was instrumental in the successful defense of our client.
