Michael Kearns Wins Case Against NY Jets Security Guard Employed by the NJSEA

Michael Kearns, a Partner in the firm and Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, recently won a case involving a fight in the stands at a New York Jets football game. The Plaintiff, employed by the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority, was working as a security guard at the game, claimed that he was assaulted by the Defendant, Mr. Kearns client, after breaking up the fight and assisting an injured patron. Plaintiff sustained a back injury which required surgery followed by complications following from that initial back surgery which required a second surgical procedure.  After a one week trial in Middlesex County, the jury found in favor of our client, the Defendant, and that he was not negligent and rendered a “no cause” verdict.
