Julia is part of Hoagland Longo’s Employment & Labor and Municipal practice groups, and works on matters involving workplace disputes, employee discipline, discrimination claims, and public entity liability. Her work includes legal research, drafting, and case development in defending employers, municipalities, and government officials.
Before joining the firm, Julia gained valuable experience through judicial clerkships and internships. She most recently served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Mala Sundar, Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Tax Court, where she drafted opinions and orders, managed the court docket, and assisted with mediation in small claims matters. She also completed an externship with the Internal Revenue Service, Office of Chief Counsel, where she supported attorneys on complex tax issues.
During law school, Julia served as a student attorney in Rutgers Federal Tax Law Clinic, where she represented low-income clients in resolving tax controversies. She also worked as a legal assistant in private practice, gaining early exposure to litigation and client service. Julia was a senior staff editor on the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy, where she published a note on Child Tax Credits.
