Lawrence P. Powers and Nicole M. Grzeskowiak to Present at AIA 2022 Tri-State Legal Series

Hoagland Longo partners Lawrence P. Powers and Nicole M. Grzeskowiak will join seasoned attorneys from the tri-state area as featured speakers at the 2022 Tri-State Legal Series. Hosted by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the three-day series will cover issues affecting the architectural and design industry, including contract management, licensing and ethics, human resource management, insurance issues and trends.

At the “Architectural Ethics” panel on October 14, Larry will discuss the ethical, legal and professional conduct issues in the practice of architecture, providing a deeper understanding of the ethical standards that apply to licensed professionals.

At the “Managing Human Resources Risk in the Post-Pandemic Office” panel on October 21, Nicole will help managers navigate the post-pandemic legal issues related to personnel management, including employee leaves, remote work, and workplace safety.

At the “Professional Liability Insurance Policy – What Architects Need to Know” panel on October 21, Larry will provide an overview of the professional and general liability insurance against claims and lawsuits.

At the “Legal Trends Roundtable: Where We’ve Been and Where We’re Going” panel on October 28, Larry will discuss best practices for contract administration, ethical and conduct issues, evolving laws concerning design professional liability, and future legal trends that may impact the architecture industry.
