Partner Michael T. Kearns Presented at HealthSouth’s Nursing Leadership Luncheon

Partner Michael T. Kearns presented at HealthSouth's Nursing Leadership Luncheon on December 1 at the Villa Amalfi Restaurant in Toms River, NJ.  The luncheon hosted several HealthSouth corporate nursing leadership personnel and the purpose was to provide targeted education to HealthSouth's current nursing leadership team which consists of Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses, and Nursing Supervisors.

The luncheon went over coaching and mentoring new nursing staff, pressure ulcer prevention, fall prevention strategies, patient satisfaction and complaint/grievance management.  Mike spoke to the nurses on proper charting and how it can help defend in medical malpractice lawsuits.  According to HealthSouth, "Mike gave a great overview and presented actual examples of extremely poor documentation and/or omissions in documentation that leave staff and hospitals open for liability.  The staff and corporate leadership were engaged during and after his presentation".
