Lawrence P. Powers to Serve as Panelist at 2021 Design Industry Risk Management Summit

Hoagland Longo Partner Larry Powers, Co-Chair of the firm’s Construction Law practice group, will join a panel of seasoned professional liability and risk management practitioners at the 2021 Design Industry Risk Management Summit. The “How COVID Changed our Way of Practice: Projects and Operations” panel will cover the impact of government restrictions, contract language, and cost recovery efforts on projects and firm operations to mitigate the risks the pandemic created for professional service firms.

The Design Industry Risk Management Summit is hosted by Victor Insurance and will take place virtually on May 19-20. Designed for large A&E firm insureds and defense attorneys, the Summit will provide an overview of emerging industry opportunities, legal liability and risks, and legal and professional practice developments.

Larry has over 35 years of experience in litigating, arbitrating and mediating complex construction disputes, and regularly handles loss prevention and risk management assignments for large design firms and professional liability insurers. He has served as General Counsel to the New Jersey Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Society of Landscape Architects for over 30 years.
