Our clients, ranging from single-family homeowners to governmental entities/ multinational corporations, rely on our extensive experience in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions to prepare, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, easements, condemnation actions, redevelopment and PILOT agreements. Our experience in all aspects of corporate representation enables us to deliver comprehensive business perspectives and effective legal approaches, and to help clients achieve their goals without the burden of undue expense.
In addition, regularly appear before local planning and zoning boards to obtain local, county and state approvals for all aspects of the development process. Working hand-in-hand with the firm's Environmental/Toxic Tort Litigation Department, we also obtain environmental approvals which range from simple stream encroachment permits to full scale remediation plans. Our clients also benefit from our collaboration with the firm's Wills, Trusts and Estates Department to provide legal advice on the tax impacts related to their transactions and any available options for mitigating the same.
On the litigation side, we regularly handle personal injury matters involving property damage in New Jersey State and Federal Courts, including catastrophic and mass tort litigation, complex commercial disputes and environmental claims, such as coverage issues and major property damage claims.
While we enjoy a successful resolution to any claim, we firmly believe that the best defense is often avoiding litigation altogether. To that end, we promote and counsel our clients in risk management and litigation avoidance. We currently serve as general counsel to many design and construction firms assisting in contract preparation, pre-claim assistance, partnership and business formation, and professional business succession. We are also well verse in alternative dispute resolution opportunities such as mediation and arbitration if warranted, and work to achieve success in each case in the most cost-effective manner.
