Michael T. Kearns and Dawn P. Marino represented a major utility company in a personal injury lawsuit where plaintiff claimed he sustained an electric shock injury as a result of stepping on a high voltage wire brought down during Hurricane Sandy. Plaintiff claimed significant injuries, including memory loss and loss of vision. Plaintiff’s settlement demand before trial was $2.5 million. After a 3 week trial, the jury found plaintiff was 60% negligent and therefore plaintiff was precluded from recovering monetary damages.
