New Jersey’s Governor-elect Phil Murphy named over 500 individuals to his Transition 2018 committees, including Hoagland Longo partner, Michele Haas and associate, Raj Goomer. Michele will serve on the Transition Counsel and Raj, on the Law & Justice Committee. These committees are tasked with studying the issues facing the new administration and making recommendations ahead of the Gov.-elect's inauguration in January.
In a press release, Gov.-elect Phil Murphy said, “I’ve committed to ensuring my administration reflects the rich diversity of backgrounds and experiences of New Jerseyans, and my transition will be no different. Together with our transition committees’ co-chairs and membership, Transition 2018’s leadership will ensure my administration is ready to deal with the serious challenges that lay ahead of us.”
We (Michele and Raj) are honored to accept these positions and look forward to working with the Transition committees to prepare the Gov.-elect as he takes the helm of the New Jersey state government to ensure a smooth transition.
