William Rogers is Of Counsel in the firm’s Transactional Department. William represents numerous municipalities and investor/owners at trial before the New Jersey Tax Court and various County Boards of Taxation in all aspects of Property Tax Appeal litigation at Hoagland Longo and previously at Skoloff & Wolfe, PC and at the former Wolff & Samson Law Firm (now Chiesa, Shahinian & Giantomasi, PC). William’s clients include a top tier national fast food restaurant chain, multifamily building investors, office building investors, condominium unit owners, COOP Boards, luxury home owners, marina owner/operators, retail strip mall investors, developers, warehouse/industrial owners and mixed use property owners. William has secured abatements/exemptions for redevelopers. He has also practiced in the area of Eminent Domain and has served as a Condemnation Commissioner in Essex County, New Jersey. William is the former Chief Assistant Assessor for the City of East Orange and has managed multifamily properties.
William is the President of the Garden State Bar Association. He serves on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s (“NJSBA”) Membership Committee and is a Past Chair of the NJSBA’s Election Committee and Past Chair of the NJSBA’s Minorities in the Professional Section. William is Chair of the General Practice Subcommittee of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Tax Court. William is a former member of the Board of the Newark Community School of the Arts.
William regularly presents and lectures on property tax issues before the New Jersey State Bar Association/NJICLE, the New Jersey League of Municipalities, the Essex County Bar Association, New Jersey National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers, Association of Municipal Assessors of New Jersey, and various Elected Officials.
