Robert J. Banas

Robert J. Banas is an Associate in the firm’s Transactional Department where he focuses his practice on medical malpractice defense, nursing home liability and the representation of healthcare professionals. He represents clients at both the state and federal court levels through all stages of litigation including at trial.
Robert obtained his undergraduate education at the College of New Jersey where he received his B.S. in Business Management. He then attended law school at Rutgers University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor. While attending Rutgers Law School, Robert was the Managing Editor of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion and participated in Hunter Moot Court.
After graduating law school, Robert served as a law clerk to the Honorable Anthony M. Massi, J.S.C., in the Civil Division of the New Jersey Superior Court, Mercer County. Prior to joining Hoagland Longo, he worked as an Associate in a regional firm's litigation practice group. He is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Robert is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Medical Malpractice Committee and Hunterdon County Bar Association. He has been published in the New Jersey Law Journal on the topics of medical malpractice and professional liability.
