Michael Eleneski focuses his practice in areas of Commercial Litigation, Employment Law, Title 59 and Workers’ Compensation. He has served various municipal entities, corporations, and individual Petitioners throughout all stages of litigation in Workers’ Compensation matters. In addition, he has successfully represented various clients in New Jersey and New York in matters regarding professional liability, breach of contract, and the Uniform Commercial Code. Furthermore, he has handled complex issues regarding family owned limited partnerships.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael developed his legal experience while serving as a judicial law clerk for Honorable Carmen Messano, the Presiding Judge of Administration for the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. Michael graduated Rutgers Law School in Camden with a Certificate in Corporate and Business Law and a Pro Bono Award for Significant Service. While attending Rutgers Law School, Michael worked as a research assistant for Professor Arthur Laby, developing, editing and contributing content for a securities regulation treatise and numerous publications on compliance, corporate culture and fiduciary duties. Michael also gained considerable litigation experience while working for the City of Philadelphia Law Department, Civil Rights Unit.
During his time at Rutgers Law School, Michael served as the managing articles editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy. He also volunteered his time to the Rutgers Civil Practice Clinic, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, and the Pro Bono Bankruptcy Project.
Outside of the firm, Michael shares his passion and knowledge for law by serving as a mentor for other students through the New Jersey Law and Education Empowerment Program (NJLEEP). He is on the Alumni Steering Committee of the Rutgers Center for Corporate Law and Governance.
