Leslie Park joined the firm as an Associate in 2014 after completing her clerkship with the Hon. Deborah J. Venezia, P.J.F.P. Leslie focuses her practice on representing individuals, corporations and public entities in a variety of matters in both federal and state courts.
Leslie has extensive experience defending public entities and their employees against general negligence claims, as well as civil rights actions, including false arrest, excessive force, and malicious prosecution claims brought under both the Federal and New Jersey Civil Rights Acts. Additionally, Leslie has thorough knowledge of both the procedural and substantive requirements of New Jersey’s Tort Claims Act.
Leslie’s practice includes the representation of both individuals and employers in the public and private sector on a wide variety of employment matters. She has litigated claims involving alleged violations of New Jersey’s Law Against Discrimination, the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act, New Jersey Wage and Hour Law, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and New Jersey Family Leave Act. In addition to litigation, Leslie counsels clients in contract negotiations and human resources issues including unlawful harassment and discrimination, disciplinary action and termination.
Prior to pursuing her legal career, Ms. Park worked for Foster and Adoptive Family Services, where she oversaw a government sponsored scholarship for youth transitioning out of foster care. She attended Seton Hall Law at night and worked as a law clerk at Carella, Byrne, Cecchi, Olstein, Brody and Agnello, P.C., where she assisted attorneys in a variety of matters, including consumer class actions, bankruptcy and probate litigation.
