Katrina M. Koerner

Katrina M. Koerner joined the firm as an associate in 2017 and focuses her practice in the Transactional/Business area.
Prior to joining the firm, Katrina gained experience as a legal intern at the Monmouth County Office of the Public Defender where she assisted in trial preparation and legal research surrounding all aspects of criminal defense. Katrina also served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Leslie-Ann M. Justus, J.S.C. where she had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various criminal cases, which included preparing memoranda, reviewing case files and communicating regularly with counsel.
Katrina obtained her undergraduate degree at Monmouth University and was an assistant in the University's Writing Department. Katrina became certified by the College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) in this position which allowed her to provide tutoring to both undergraduate and graduate students to help strengthen their writing abilities. Katrina pursued her Juris Doctor at Pace University School of Law and Rutgers Law School in Newark. During her time there, she became heavily involved in the Latin American Law Students Association, the Puerto Rican Bar Association and the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.
Katrina has also studied law at the St. Thomas School of Law in Spain and is proficient in Spanish.
