Marc Gaffrey Will Participate in a Two-Day Mock Trial

Marc Gaffrey, supervising partner of the Environmental & Toxic Tort Litigation Department, will participate in a two-day mock trial June 1-2, 2011 in Cincinnati, Ohio

Marc Gaffrey, supervising partner of the Environmental & Toxic Tort Litigation Department will participate in a two-day mock trial in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 1 and June 2.  The topic of the trial will be an asbestos wrongful death mesothelioma death action and the trial will proceed from opening statements through jury deliberation.  Marc will assume three separate roles in the program: plaintiff’s material specialist/industrial hygiene expert, defendants pathology expert and defendant’s industrial hygiene expert and will undergo both direct and cross examination in all three of these roles.  Each of the experts that Marc will portray are specific individuals who he has either taken through direct examination or cross examination at trial in prior asbestos cases.  An actual jury will be retained to listen to the trial, which will be presented before more than 50 claims handlers and insurance representatives.
