Since its inception in 1975, New Brunswick Tomorrow ("NBT") has been dedicated to the process of fostering public/private networks of agencies, institutions and volunteer organizations that help to enrich the lives of the people of New Brunswick, promoting self-sufficiency and personal dignity for every member of this community.
Proudly, this organization has now become a model for what is possible when different groups come together to pool their talents and strengths. Its programs and activities are successful thanks to the hard work of caring people from the private, public and community sectors, all with the common goal of improving the quality of life in New Brunswick.
As a law firm that plays a vital role in the success of this city, NBT is honoring Hoagland Longo Moran Dunst & Doukas, LLP with the NBT Public/Private Partnership Award. Over the years, this law firm has contributed in many ways to the quality of life in the City of New Brunswick.
Through the leadership of Mr. John J. Hoagland, the firm has hired teenagers every summer from NBT's summer youth employment program. Additionally, HLMDD currently provides volunteers to tutor public school students from New Brunswick.
In 2005, Ms. Joan Weisblatt was appointed as a member of the NBT Board of Directors. She has quickly become an advocate for the organization, facilitating a significant financial contribution from a major corporation. Ms. Weisblatt also has prepared a monthly food drive for New Brunswick's needy.
This year, Mr. Bruce McCoy completed NBT's leadership development program, Leadership Tomorrow. The program aims to cultivate the next generation of New Brunswick leaders. Clearly, Mr. McCoy is committed to New Brunswick. He made such a positive impression that his peers selected him as the class speaker for the graduation event held this past June.
Hoagland Longo Moran Dunst & Doukas LLP will receive this Award at NBT's 31st Annual Holiday Reception on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick.
