05.12.2009

Jeff Czuba successfully defends an automobile liability case with a win at trial in Middlesex County

On May 8, 2009 Jeff Czuba, Partner in the firm, completed a three day trial before the Hon. Martin Kravarik, J.S.C. at the Middlesex County Courthouse representing the defense in an automobile liability case.

The case arose out of a motor vehicle accident which occurred on November 8, 2004.  At that time the Plaintiff's vehicle was struck in the rear by the defendant as Plaintiff was stopped at a yield sign.  As a result of the accident the Plaintiff, a Church Pastor, alleged that he sustained permanent injuries to his cervical spine and right shoulder including two herniated discs, one bulging disc and impingement syndrome of the right shoulder for which arthroscopic surgery was recommended.

After deliberations, the jury rendered a verdict in favor of the defense, unanimously finding that Plaintiff had failed to prove by a preponderance of the evidence that he sustained a permanent injury proximately caused by the accident.
