Experience

Richard J. Mirra, of counsel to the firm, joined Hoagland Longo in June 2009. His areas of practice include tort/personal injury defense, insurance defense, products liability, miscellaneous general practice, corporate and commercial. Richard is also skilled in the appeals process having written numerous appellate briefs for the courts.

Prior to joining Hoagland Longo, Richard worked for over 30 years with Bernard Boglioli, who also joined our firm, most recently at Hanlon, Boglioli, Hanlon, P.C. of Edison, NJ. He has authored articles including:

“Driver Discipline – Application of the Subsequent Remedial Measures Doctrine” appeared in For the Defense (February 2006) Defense Research Institute (DRI);  (Co-authored with Robert M. Hanlon, Jr.)

“Spoliation of Evidence: A Compendium of State and Federal Law” (Second Circuit) published by DRI (Co-authored with Robert M. Hanlon, Jr.).

He was accepted into Mensa, the High I.Q. Society and is a past member of the New Jersey Bar Association.   Richard is the proud father of a middle school honor student, his daughter Elizabeth.
